I recently received a cryptic email from a UK based marketing company letting me know that I was selected as one of a small group of bloggers invited to take part in a blind test for a new body lotion by a well-known brand. In return I'd get a $100 American Express gift card. The catch? All I had to do was fill out a survey. So good to be true that I had to do some research to confirm that it wasn't spam.
In the weeks ahead, I started noticing top beauty bloggers posting about the same mysterious lotion that they've been invited to try. Could it be the same program?
Turns out, this was a genius launch program by M Booth PR, who was tasked with the challenge of introducing a new lotion from Vaseline - a household name with strong brand recognition. Yes, Vaseline is known for its bottom shelf economy brand lotion - a beauty commodity. It's a staple in most people's home, and it's known for its effectiveness, but not necessarily for its "feel good" user experience.
The new Vaseline Total Moisture promises to do both, and M Booth set out to prove it with a blind survey test. M Booth selected top beauty influencers to evaluate the product in unmarked sample packaging. I have to admit - the product felt good and smelled nice, so I thought it was from either Bath & Body Works, Victoria Secret or even a more "luxe" drugstore brand.
Never once did I guess it was from Vaseline. Through this social media program and the launch of this product, I started at looking at Vaseline in a whole new way.
Not only is the product innovative, but kudos to Jacqueline Warren & team for putting together a genius PR/social media program.

How great is it to find a salon "home"? To never worry about bad cuts or colors, trusting the stylist to always know your tastes (and many cowlicks) - even when you want to try something new.
Since we moved into our home almost 2 years ago, I've been obsessed with interior design. Nothing makes me happier than a beautiful space. Which is why I jumped at the chance to work with the amazing

I'm a huge proponent of natural skincare. There's just no need to put that many chemicals on skin, and I've personally experienced better results using natural products.
What new mom wouldn't love getting great products delivered to her door? That's the genius behind Citrus Lane, a new company that creates and delivers edited, monthly "care packages" for new parents. Items in Citrus Lane packages are handpicked by real parents who've done the research and tested the products for themselves. And items are boxed together based on special occasions (Baby Shower, Welcome Home) or a baby's monthly milestones (2-month, 6-month, etc.)
